ShareUsers

When you want to verify whether you are the owner of a website, you will see this screen:

You are given two options to verify you are the legitimate owner of that website.

The first one is by editing your web main file (commonly known as index.html, index.php or something similar) and to insert that 'tag' ShareUsers indicates to you. Once the 'tag' is inserted, click on the 'Verify' button. After that you are free to delete the 'tag'. If there is some cache activated (as commonly happens in Wordpress), clean it, so that pages are refreshed.

The second option consists of creating a file in your file system, in your domain root, and to give it a name. You can check the file from being successfully created by clicking on the link. Once ShareUsers had checked the presence of the file, after clicking on the 'Verify' button, you can delete the file.
