ShareUsers

In order to work, ShareUsers needs some collaboration from your blog. The basic operation of ShareUsers implies the users' reception from other blogs and the sending of users from yours. To achieve so, it is necessary to add some links to ShareUsers in your blog. An easy-to-use plugin takes care of that, which you can easily install in your blog. If you do not want or cannot install anything in your blog, there are alternatives to plugins.

To obtain the output links, please install the plugin as usual:

• Download all the files the plugin has.
• Copy the files in the directory /wp-content/plugins/.
• Activate the plugin from the corresponding administration page.

Once installed and activated you can set it up in the new options menu that will be created in your blog (Options/ShareUsers).

Configuration choices are:

• Automatic linking: It allows connecting keywords automatically, in other words, whenever a word or expression appears that coincides with a keyword you previously elected as an output word it will add automatically a link to ShareUsers. It is recommended to leave this option activated.
• To open a link in a new window: It allows choosing, if desired, that a link should be opened in the same window of the browser or in a new window. If a new window is opened, the user will keep his/her section opened in your website. This can be bothering to certain users.
• Update frequency: The plugin automatically loads the output keywords you add in your ShareUsers account. When you modify the output words, changes are not reflected automatically, but they will be updated next time when the plugin searches for the chosen output words. From here, it is allowed to control the above mentioned frequency, but it is not recommended to change it. As putting a lower frequency, in long terms, can cause some problems, although it can be good if the user doesn't think of modifying output words for a long time. To increase the frequency can cause slowing down when trying to access your web site and it should be avoided.

To update any of these options you should click on the 'Save changes' button.
